Yu wins chemistry award
Hyuk Yu, the Eastman-Kodak and Stockmayer Professor of Chemistry, has won the Award for Distinguished Service in Advancement of Polymer Science from the Society of Polymer Science in Japan.
The “Kobunshi Koseki Sho” is given annually by the society to one or two non-Japanese polymer scientists; Yu, who joined the UW–Madison faculty in 1967, is the sole recipient this year.
He will travel to Kyoto, Japan, to accept the award and give the award lecture, “Structure and Dynamics of Polymer Monolayers,” at the society’s annual meeting in May.
