Wisconsin Idea Seminar

May 11, 2005

On May 16-20, more than 40 new faculty and staff of the University of Wisconsin–Madison will get an in-depth and personal look at their adopted state during the 20th annual WISCONSIN IDEA SEMINAR.

The week-long, statewide bus tour focuses on the natural, cultural and industrial assets of the state, as well as some of the challenges to its future. The seminar is meant to give new faculty and staff, who come from all over the nation and world, a greater appreciation of and connection to the state.

Monday, 3-5:30 p.m.: A tour of the Selz Dairy Farm in Humbird, near Neilsville in Clark County;

Tuesday, 8-10 a.m.: A tour of clothing and apparel manufacturer XMI Corp. in Chippewa Falls;
