The University of Wisconsin–Madison Office of Corporate Relations will announce the winners of this year’s 100-Hour Wiscontrepreneur Challenge at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2, at Engineering Hall, 1415 Engineering Drive.
Media are invited to attend the announcement, which will take place during Professor Jeanan Yasari’s “Entrepreneurialism in Society” class in Room 1610 of Engineering Hall.
The 100-Hour Challenge invited students enrolled at UW–Madison or any two- or four-year accredited institution in the state to create a product with surplus material from Surplus With a Purpose (SWAP) between Feb. 18 and Feb. 22.
Three winning teams in the categories of most creative, most monetary value created and most social value created will be awarded $300 cash. One people’s choice award of $100 will be given to the entry that received the most online visits.
The entries are posted here.
All of Yasari’s 130 students participated in the challenge, splitting into 31 teams. The challenge received 63 total entries, nearly quadrupling last year’s 17 entries.
