Why Files again earns PC Magazine ‘Top 100’ site award
The Why Files, which covers issues of science, math and technology behind the headlines of the day and current events, was listed among the top sites in the magazine’s Education, Information and Reference category.
“This down-to-earth science site was a PC Magazine pick way back in 1997, when you had a dial-up and about 12 bookmarks,” write PC Magazine’s editors. “With tons of articles and activities, the Why Files will take you from ignorance to expertise in dozens of subjects.”
Established in 1996, The Why Files is the oldest science magazine written exclusively for the Web. Each week, The Why Files publishes a new illustrated article that takes readers to the heart of the scientific enterprise. It has won numerous awards, including the nation’s top science journalism awards from the National Association of Science Writers and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and has received consistent critical acclaim over its near-10-year history.
