Weygandt Named to FAF Board of Trustees
Accounting professor Jerry J. Weygandt has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation. The Foundation is responsible for overseeing, funding, and selecting the members of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), and their advisory councils. These bodies are the premium standards-setting boards in the U.S., instrumental in maintaining the relevance and integrity of the financial reporting process.
Weygandt, Arthur Andersen Alumni Professor of Accounting at the School of Business, has been on the UW–Madison faculty since 1968.
Weygandt’s teaching awards include the UW Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Wisconsin Institute of CPA’s Outstanding Educator Award. He recently received the Wisconsin Institute of CPA’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
