Watercolors on display
Artist Sarah Aslakson likes to go where wild things are for inspiration. The result is an exhibition of her watercolors now at the Arboretum Steinhauer Trust Gallery.
For Aslakson, color is key in revealing the beauty and complexity of places humans often overlook.
“My palette is becoming more realistically based, as I have realized that all the color I could imagine exists in nature,” she says. “Natural variety and selection is infinitely more interesting and dynamic than anything organized by a person.”
The exhibition, on display through Thursday, Feb 26, is free and open to the public.
