WAA to host freshman parents’ weekend
The Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) will help parents learn about campus life during Freshman Parents’ Weekend on Nov. 8 and 9. Parents of all new freshmen have been invited to UW–Madison to enjoy a weekend full of informative and entertaining activities.
“We’re proud to offer parents a chance to share in their child’s college experiences,” says WAA President and CEO Paula Bonner. “A parent’s involvement and support is key to a student’s success, and this action-packed weekend provides a good understanding of what the UW–Madison campus is like when school is in session.”
Not only are parents encouraged to attend classes with their students, they can immerse themselves in UW culture through campus tours, speakers, classroom visits, dorm receptions, Q & A sessions and the football game against Illinois.
