WAA to host Badger Huddle Nov. 9

The Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) is hosting a special Badger Huddle event on Nov. 9 before the Wisconsin vs. Illinois football game. This festive pre-game tailgate kicks off at the Field House beginning two-and-one-half hours before game time.

The entire Madison community is invited to the Huddle, and attendees will enjoy a “Wisconsin-style” buffet, games and a chance to win raffle prizes. Appearances by Bucky Badger, the UW Spirit Squad and members of the UW Marching Band are expected. Admission is $15 for WAA members and $20 for nonmembers. All admission supports WAA’s Matching Dollar Scholarship Fund for UW–Madison students.

The Nov. 9 Huddle is one of many signature events held during Freshman Parents’ Weekend, the annual event welcoming parents of new freshmen to take part in UW traditions by attending classes, taking campus tours and experiencing football Saturday festivities. “This pre-game event is one that the whole family can attend,” says Paula Bonner, WAA president and CEO. “It’s a great way to get freshman parents, students and local alumni together, celebrating Badger spirit.”
