UWPD seeks info on possible child enticement

Update, 9:30 p.m.: A suspect is in custody and the public is not believed to be in danger.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 8 near the 304 units in Eagle Heights housing community on the UW–Madison campus, a 6-year-old child was approached by an unidentified male.

The male, described as a dark skinned, older Asian or Indian, 5’10”, with black hair and grey scruffy beard, wearing a blue baseball hat, long sleeve blue shirt with white stripes, jeans and black shoes, approached the child near a picnic table.

The male asked the child to go with him. The child immediately returned to his home and is safely in the custody of his parents.
