UW–Madison to connect with industry during Day on Campus event
The University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Day on Campus event is expected to draw 90 attendees from more than 55 businesses to spend Thursday, Aug. 15, on campus, to jump-start partnerships with the university in talent acquisition, professional development and research.
The event organized by the Office of Business Engagement brings the breadth of campus resources together in one place at one time to help businesses initiate a relationship with campus, or expand their current relationship.
Registrants for the Day on Campus range from human resource managers to chief executive officers, from scientists to technology officers, and from small manufacturing companies to multinational tech companies. There is a strong Wisconsin presence at the event this year, with registrations from companies in 24 Wisconsin cities including Wausau, Stevens Point, Kenosha, and Janesville.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with dozens of campus units to address their recruiting, training and development needs, a panel discussion with four companies will give perspective on how they identified and formulated their partnership with UW, a session will focus on how diversity and inclusion can drive business innovation and the day includes four flash-style talks focused on UW innovation.’
