UW-Madison Campus Master Plan open house scheduled for April 13

The University of Wisconsin–Madison will have its fifth in a series of public open houses regarding the 2015 Campus Master Plan Update project from 7 to 9 p.m. April 13 in the auditorium of Signe Skott Cooper Hall, 701 Highland Ave.
The master plan team will be presenting the revised preliminary master plan, which focuses on the preferred vision and broad recommendations organized around the Master Plan’s six major goals: supporting the university’s mission; managing resources; celebrating the lakeside setting; making travel easy; revitalizing outdoor spaces; and being good neighbors.
The Campus Master Plan consultant team will be presenting this information in a 60-minute lecture-style format followed by time for discussion and questions. Refreshments will be provided.
“We are very excited to share our developing plans for the future of the campus’s physical environment with the broader campus community, especially the campus landscape and stormwater management recommendations,” says Gary Brown, director of Campus Planning & Landscape Architecture. “This is a great time to offer your input and thoughts on the draft Campus Master Plan and we welcome everyone’s involvement.”
Input received at the open house will help guide the consultant team in development of the “Draft Final Master Plan,” which is scheduled for public release in the fall of 2016 for review by the City of Madison as part of its zoning review and approval process.
