UW helps usher in Overture
Named for a former UW–Madison faculty member who died in 1999, the James Watrous Gallery of the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters opened along with the Overture Center for the Arts on Sept. 18. The gallery’s inaugural show, “A Decade of Art from the Wisconsin Academy Gallery,” features the work of a number of Watrous’ friends and colleagues. All exhibitors have had solo shows at the academy from 1994-2003. (Photo: Micahel Forster Rothbart)
