UW alumni travel to Texas for Cotton Bowl
University of Wisconsin–Madison alumni and fans traveling to the Cotton Bowl Classic in Arlington, Texas, with the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) will begin the trip on Dec. 31.
Reporters and photographers are invited to talk with alumni and fans at any of the following events from Dec. 31 to Jan. 3, 2017. (All times local to event.)

Going to Texas: Dec. 31. Talk with Badger alumni and fans as they arrive at the Dane County Regional Airport in the early morning to prepare for their charter flight. Fans will begin arriving at 8 a.m.
Wisconsin Pep Rally and Battle of the Bands: Sunday, Jan. 1, 3–4 p.m. Alumni and fans will show their Badger pride at the official Wisconsin football pep rally at Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas and get fired up with appearances by Bucky Badger, the UW Spirit Squad, and the UW Marching Band. The Western Michigan University marching band will join us for a “battle of the bands” to determine musical supremacy.
BADGER HUDDLE: Jan. 2. 8:30–11:00 a.m. CST, Globe Life Park, 1000 Ballpark Way, Arlington, Texas. Some 1,500 Badger fans will be at this pre-game tailgate party, featuring Wisconsin brats, burritos, pastries, and more. Beer, wine, cocktails, and soda will be available. Entertainment will be provided by the UW Marching Band, the Spirit Squad and Bucky Badger, and there will be a kids’ zone.
Return to Wisconsin: Jan. 3. Alumni and fans will depart Dallas-Love Field via charter. Talk with them as they arrive in Madison at Dane County Regional Airport at 8:30 a.m.
