University Club to remain open to public through September

September 6, 2005

The University Club has announced that it will be open to the public through the end of September, among other recent changes.

In June 2004, the club’s board voted to allow all UW staff access to two of the club’s offerings: Club Caffè and the Wayside Dining Room. All UW employees also can register for the Arts and Lecture Luncheon programs. Once a month during the fall semester, members of the School of Music faculty will perform. Lunch plus the program costs $15.

Opening its doors for longer periods of time to the public and offering services to all UW employees are ways the University Club is testing change. “We’re experimenting to see if people are interested in keeping the club a more campus-focused entity, or if we should continue to explore a broader public approach,” says Lori Kay, president of the club’s board of directors.

The University Club serves lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on weekdays. Reservations are advised. To learn more, visit http://www.wisc.edu/uclub or call 262-5023.
