Union buildings extend hours during finals week
The Wisconsin Union has extended operating hours during final exams week for students seeking places to study. Daily Scoop in Memorial Union and Quick Byte in Union South will also stay open late.
Starting Sunday, May 11, the buildings will be open 24 hours a day in the first half of the week (until midnight on Wednesday at Memorial Union; Thursday at midnight at Union South). The Division of Information Technology has funded to keep the InfoLab at Union South open 24 hours a day during these times as well.
Please note that after midnight, to enter or remain, students must have a valid UW–Madison ID.
The Union will offer free coffee, bagels and cookies starting at midnight every night. Treats will be available while supplies last and are first come, first served. The complimentary food is sponsored by the Wisconsin Union and a Wisconsin Union Directorate Late Night Grant.

- Memorial Union: On Sunday, May 11, the building opens at 8 a.m., then will be open 24 hours a day until it closes at midnight on Wednesday, May 14. On Thursday, May 15, hours will be 7 a.m.-midnight. On Friday, May 16, hours will be 7 a.m.–2 a.m.
- Memorial Union food unit hours: The Daily Scoop will be open from noon-midnight on Sunday, May 11. Then Monday, May 12–Friday, May 16, it will be open from 7:30 a.m.-midnight. Der Rathskeller will be open 7 a.m.–8 p.m. May 12–16. Lakefront on Langdon will be open 11 a.m.–2 p.m. May 12–16.
- Union South: On Sunday, May 11, Union South will open at 9 a.m. and will remain open until it closes at midnight on Thursday, May 15. On Friday, May 16, hours will be 7 a.m.–2 a.m.
- Union South food unit hours: Quick Byte will be open from 10 a.m.-midnight on May 11 and from 7 a.m.-midnight May 12–16. Einstein’s will be open 10:30 a.m.–2 p.m. May 12–16. Red Oak Grill will be open 7 a.m.–8 p.m. May 12–16.
