Ferguson back on his feet with UW’s help
Ferguson the miniature donkey is walking again after a veterinarian at the School of Veterinary Medicine amputated his deformed hoof, and a prosthetist fitted him with an artificial limb.
Where the university meets the state
Thirty-eight faculty and academic staff with a desire to gain a deeper understanding of the perspectives and experiences of Wisconsinites participated in the 2018 Wisconsin Idea Seminar. The tour included a potato farm in the state's Central Sands region, among nearly 20 stops from the UW–Madison campus to Lake Superior.
K-9 care
A student-run UW veterinary medical training program for Wisconsin police officer-K-9 teams took place as part of a larger technical training program at Camp Randall Stadium June 6. The session provided officers with training on taking vitals, CPR, K-9 first aid, and recognizing emergency situations such as heat stroke in their K-9 partners.
Spring splendor
Little can compare to spring in the UW Arboretum — especially when that spring was slow to show its face. In the Longenecker Horticultural Gardens, the blossoming trees, buzzing bees and strutting turkeys celebrate the return of warm weather in Madison.

Switched-on art
Neon has come a long way since the days when its typical use was for signs with succinct messages such as "EAT." The 2018 Neon Light Show, held in the UW Stock Pavilion on April 21, included glass sculptures and artwork created by more than 45 artists from UW–Madison, Alfred University (New York), Brooklyn Glass (New York), the Art Institute of Chicago, and many artists from Wisconsin.
Newest Badgerloop Pod unveiled
The UW–Madison Badgerloop team Thursday revealed Badgerloop Pod III — its latest entry into the 2018 SpaceX Hyperloop Competition, an event designed to spur new ideas about an ultrafast, futuristic form of transportation.
Neither snow nor sleet stops students from voting
