Wisconsin defeated Nebraska 25-18, 25-22, 25-19 to advance to the NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship Semifinal against No. 1 Baylor in Pittsburgh next Thursday. It was No. 4 UW's third sweep of the No. 5 Huskers this season. This will be the Badgers' third national semifinal in team history. Read More

The No. 4 Wisconsin volleyball team rolled into the Sweet 16 of the 2019 NCAA Tournament with a straight-set win over UCLA on Saturday night during the second round of Division 1 championship play at the UW Field House. The Badgers move on to face No. 13 Texas A&M. UPDATE: UW defeated Texas A&M Friday to advance to the Elite Eight. Read More

Tunneling under Bascom Hill
A huge, custom-made borer has started drilling a 640-foot-long tunnel under Bascom Hill to carry utilities. The borer, 11 feet in diameter, was lowered into a reinforced earthen pit between South Hall and the Law Building, where it runs on hydraulic tracks installed there, filling carts with earth as it excavates the face of the tunnel.
