Seventeen state government officials complete Certified Public Manager program

Seventeen managers from Wisconsin state and local government will become Wisconsin Certified Public Managers at a ceremony at the State Capitol on May 11. The nationally accredited certification is achieved through completion of 300 instructional hours in the Wisconsin Certified Public Manager Program administered by the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

UW study tests topical honey as a treatment for diabetic ulcers

Jennifer Eddy, a physician at UW Health’s Eau Claire Family Medicine Clinic and an assistant professor of family medicine at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, is conducting the first randomized, double-blind controlled trial of honey for diabetic ulcers.

Climate change exhibit opens May 5 in Ashland

A traveling art and science exhibition focusing on climate change in the Lake Superior region will open Saturday, May 5, at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland. An opening reception will be held at the center at 4 p.m. that day.

The entire Aldo Leopold Collection held by the University Archives of the University of Wisconsin–Madison will be digitized in a partnership project with the Aldo Leopold Foundation. More than $100,000 has been awarded to the Foundation, in Baraboo, Wis., to support the project.
