Student art show planned for April
The 81st annual student art show will be held from April 3-26 at the Porter Butts and Class of 1925 galleries at the Memorial Union.
An opening reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 3, in the Main Lounge on the second floor of the Memorial Union. Purchase and cash prizes will be awarded.
Sponsored by the Wisconsin Union Directorate’s Art Committee and comprised entirely of undergraduate and graduate student artwork, the show features a range of media.
In addition, two student-curated exhibits will open April 3 and run through May 25. “Not Another Monet: An Exploration of the Grotesque,” curated by Kaity Kropp and Katie Reshel, will be on exhibit at the Lakefront on Langdon Gallery. “It’s Not Easy Being Green,” curated by Lauren Wojcik and Cara Feeney, can be found in the Theater Gallery.
