Spear taps Inoway-Ronnie as executive assistant
Eden Inoway-Ronnie has been named executive assistant to Provost Peter Spear.
Inoway-Ronnie will serve as a liaison between the provost and the chancellor’s office, the university and the surrounding community. She will help coordinate teams that plan UW–Madison’s long-term academic planning, particularly in the areas of assessment, accreditation, program review and strategic planning, and will serve as a point-of-contact person for the university community.
“Inoway-Ronnie brings outstanding background and experience to the executive assistant position,” Spear says. “Everyone in the provost’s office looks forward to having Eden continue as a member of our team in this new role.”
Inoway-Ronnie has assumed a variety of roles during more than four years in the provost’s office, first as a postdoctoral fellow and later as an academic planner.
In her new role, she will continue to serve as coordinator of the UW–Madison Connections Program, a pilot project that offers strong UW–Madison applicants dual admission to both UW–Madison and a UW College campus.
Inoway-Ronnie received a Ph.D. in 1996 and a masters degree in 1993 from UW–Madison, both in the area of educational policy studies, and has experience as a teaching assistant and lecturer. She completed undergraduate work at Carleton College, Northfield, Minn., where she also served on the Board of Trustees, 1990-94.
Inoway-Ronnie replaces Casey Nagy, executive assistant to former Provost John Wiley. Nagy continues to serve as Wiley’s executive assistant in the chancellor’s office. Inoway-Ronnie’s appointment is effective today, Nov. 5. Her salary will be $65,000.
