Sign up to audition for ‘UW’s Got Talent’
UW-Madison students are invited to audition for one of 10 finalist spots in “UW’s Got Talent.”
Any UW–Madison student or student group is welcome to audition. Auditions will be held on Monday, Oct. 13; Tuesday, Oct. 14; and Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Mosse Humanities Building.
Those who choose to try out need to attend only one audition date and should visit this site to reserve an audition time.
Ten finalist acts will compete at Mills Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 22, and vie for the title of UW–Madison’s top talent, sponsored by Wisconsin Singers and the UW–Madison Homecoming Committee. The finals will feature a special video appearance by 2008 “America’s Got Talent” winner, ventriloquist Terry Fator.
Marsh Shapiro of Nitty Gritty fame will emcee the show. Celebrity judges include women’s basketball coach Lisa Stone, WKOW’s Dan Cassuto and Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz. The show will be held at 8:30 p.m. in Mills Hall at the Mosse Humanities Building.
Homecoming points are awarded to all students attending this free competition show. The winning act will open for Homecoming’s air band competition and will make a special appearance at the Wisconsin Singers On Campus events at the Union Theater on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14-15.
