Senator Feingold To Visit UW-Madison

U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold will visit the University of Wisconsin–Madison Monday morning, April 7, to share his experience in foreign policy with students and faculty.

Feingold’s visit will end with a public talk Monday noon in the Class of 1924 Room of Memorial Union. His topic is “Human Rights and U.S. Foreign Policy.” Feingold serves as the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Africa within the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.

In addition to the public talk, he will speak to a seminar for honors students in international relations, confer with representatives of the African Studies Program and visit with Chancellor David Ward. Feingold’s visit is sponsored by the International Institute of UW–Madison.

Feingold received a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from UW–Madison in 1975. He then studied at Oxford University in England as a Rhodes Scholar before earning his law degree from Harvard University.
