Recent Sightings: Wintry trek

More than 40 people with the Hoofer Outing Club cross-country ski and snowshoe across frozen and snow-covered Lake Mendota from the Memorial Union Terrace to the tip of Picnic Point at night on Feb. 4. In the background is the campus and downtown Madison skyline. The event, part of the weeklong Hoofers Winter Carnival, included a bonfire at Picnic Point’s stone gathering circle and fire pit.
