Burgos, professor of African American studies, Latin American and Caribbean studies, and Latino/Latina studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, addressed the topic “‘Pomp’ and His Circumstances: How One Negro League Owner Changed the Face of Baseball.”
