Recent Sightings: Global perspective

During a Global House Party event at the University Club at the University of Wisconsin–Madison on Monday, Sept. 24, postdoctoral geography student Kevin Gibbons speaks about his 2004-07 experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines. The event, sponsored by the Returned Peace Corp Volunteers of UW–Madison and the Peace Corps Campus Recruiting Office, celebrated Peace Corps members’ experiences and sought to encourage new generations of volunteers. Earlier this year, UW–Madison marked a milestone, surpassing 3,000 alumni who have served in the Peace Corps in the program’s half-century history.
