As an art project, graduate student Matt Daehmers, far left, constructed a full-size one-room schoolhouse using 1,400 feet of PVC pipe with ropes. The schoolhouse stood for just one day at about the halfway point of Bascom Hill. Other art projects are popping up as well. Look for a “sound sculpture” by a law student this Friday, Nov. 9, also on Bascom Hill. (Photo: Jeff Miller)
