Reason named associate director of admissions

February 9, 2005

Tom Reason has been named associate director of operations in the Office of Admissions.

Reason, who has served as an assistant director in the office since 1991, started at the university in 1983. He’s held a variety of positions, both in the Office of Admissions and the Registrar’s Office, including student status examiner and transfer and freshman admission counselor.

In his new role, Reason will expand efforts to streamline processes, improve service, increase staff efficiencies, and enhance tracking and analysis of admissions and recruitment activities.

“We’re always working to identify, develop and implement new ideas, processes and technologies to help us attract and enroll talented and diverse students of high academic quality,” says Reason. “A great deal of my time will be spent behind the scenes, making sure our office staff and admission counselors have the tools and support they need so that we will continue to be a national leader in admissions at what is clearly a world-class university.”
