The public session will be held at 5:30 p.m. in room 132 of the WARF Building, 610 Walnut St. on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus. Free parking is available in the adjacent parking lot after 5 p.m.
Full details of the plan and its potential impacts will be available in the project’s draft environmental impact assessment, which is available at http://www.cornerstoneeg.com/WCCF_Addition.html.
The $67.5 million project involves constructing a 42,500-square-foot addition to the northwest corner of the existing facility. It will provide space for new chillers, cooling towers and pumping systems.
Construction of the project is expected to begin in October 2012 and be completed by August 2014.
Public comments on the project are welcome and can be submitted in writing by March 1 for incorporation into the final environmental impact assessment to: Ben Peotter, Cornerstone Environmental Group, 8413 Excelsior Drive, Suite 160, Madison, WI 53717 or by email ben.peotter@cornerstoneeg.com.
