New editor for Wisconsin Week

Ellen Yazbec has been hired as editor of Wisconsin Week, which is published by University Communications and serves as the university’s newspaper of record.

Yazbec comes to UW–Madison following more than three years at the Purdue Alumni Association, where she was assistant director of communications and assistant editor. Her duties included writing news and feature stories for the alumni magazine, editing magazine content and overseeing the association’s publications program. She received her bachelor’s degree in English and professional writing from Purdue.
