Midori concert canceled
The Wisconsin Union Theater has announced that violinist Midori’s concert, scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday, April 7, has been canceled due to a sudden and serious illness in her immediate family.
The UW Symphony Orchestra concert, without Midori, will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, in Mills Hall (please note the new location). All other outreach and education activities planned for Midori’s weeklong residency have been canceled.
Midori has suspended all engagements for the foreseeable future, and there are no plans to re-schedule her appearance at the Wisconsin Union Theater.
Patrons who have already purchased tickets and parking to the Midori concert will receive a letter from the theater in early April with a gift certificate, good for any future Wisconsin Union Theater season event, equivalent to their ticket and parking purchase amount. Patrons will also have the option of requesting a refund instead.
