Latest Badger Poll results to be released

The results of the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s 30th Badger Poll will be released this week.

The findings of the Badger Poll conducted by the UW Survey Center will be posted at 10 a.m. over two days at http://www.uwsc.wisc.edu/bpoll.php.

• On Thursday, July 15, information on the Wisconsin races for governor and the U.S. Senate will be posted.
• On Friday, July 16, perceptions on the state and national economic outlook and Badger state approval for state and national political leaders will be posted.

The Badger Poll, a scientific survey of 500 randomly chosen Wisconsin residents, is intended to be a poll of record for the state, investigating matters of concern to state residents, including politics, culture and their daily lives. The poll was conducted between June 9 and July 10.

The first Badger Poll was conducted in March 2002, when Wisconsin residents were asked about the state budget situation, then-Gov. Scott McCallum’s performance, views of Wisconsin’s government and tax structure, and other issues.
