Lands’ End lecture features marketing executives
Three marketing executives will lead the 1999 Lands’ End Lecture with a panel presentation on “What’s In a Name? Brand Power and Beyond” Tuesday, Oct. 5.
The free public event will be held at 4 p.m. in the Memorial Union Theater.
Panel members and topics are:
- Jerry Albright, vice president of marketing with Rayovac Corp., will discuss how his company achieved record growth in the past three years, including the ad campaign featuring Michael Jordan. Albright holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s from UW–Madison.
- Greg Duppler, vice president and general merchandise manager of Super Target (a new megastore format), will emphasize the importance of branding for a retail company. Duppler holds a bachelor’s degree from UW–Madison.
- Mark Hogan, vice president of marketing at Jockey International, will describe the critical elements of brand positioning in a global environment and the role of consumer communications.
The lecture is the third in a series supported by Lands’ End in cooperation with the Center for Retailing Studies in the School of Human Ecology at UW–Madison.
