Join the flock at Picnic Point birders outing

Lest you confuse your sparrows with your warblers, the Friends of the Campus Natural Areas presents “Fall Birding at Picnic Point,” an in-the-field quest for autumnal migrants.

Participants should meet on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 8 a.m. in the circular parking lot near the 1918 Marsh. For details, call Marty Evanson or Roma Lenehan at 238-5406 or e-mail rlenehan@charter.net.

In addition, people older than 50 are invited to visit woodland and savanna restorations as part of the Campus Natural Areas Seniors Walk on Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. in the Picnic Point parking lot. Fall wildflowers are also on the agenda.
