ISIS unavailable July 27-Aug. 5

From July 27 to Aug. 5, a technical upgrade will occur that will enable more Web self-service opportunities for campus.

All computerized student record information will be affected. Here are some questions and answers on the process

How will this affect me?

Many services (including the student record and financial tabs in My UW–Madison) will not be available while the upgrade work is in progress.

Will any help be available?

Office staff will be available for general questions and to assist students in any way possible. We will continue to provide you with updates as appropriate.

How can I be prepared?

If at all possible, please take care of your university business prior to July 27 or after Aug. 5.

To help you plan ahead, several offices have provided some details about services that will or will not be available during this computer outage. Please see below. If you have questions about services not listed here, please call the appropriate office.

Registrar’s Office

  • No transcripts or DARS reports will be available
  • No class enrollment (including adds, changes, drops)
  • The course timetable on the web will not be refreshed during this time
  • No up-to-the-minute course schedule available
  • No name and/or address changes
  • No grade changes
  • No fee assessments can be made
  • No up-to-date information for advisors The Registrar’s Office Web site http://registrar.wisc.edu/ will be accessible.

Student Financial Services

  • No updates to financial aid will be made between July 27 and Aug. 5
  • No submitted forms or aid applications will be processed
  • Award letters cannot be produced
  • Funds will not be disbursed
  • No regularly scheduled appointments with counselors will be held The Web site at https://uwmad-fad.finaid.wisc.edu will be inaccessible.

Undergraduate Admissions

  • No current record access
  • No review of current applications
  • No revisions of existing materials
  • No processing of new transfer credit related to AP scores or college transcripts If you have questions about Admissions services, please call (608) 262-3961.

Graduate School Admissions

  • No Graduate School admissions processing, including new and current applications, term changes, and re-entries
  • No I-20 processing. If you need to contact Graduate Admissions, please send an email to gradadmiss@bascom.wisc.edu and include your special inquiry in the subject heading.

Bursar’s Office – Student Financials

  • No up-to-date student financial information or processing will be available
  • No refunds for withdrawals

Continuing Studies

  • University special and guest student applications will not be processed
  • Advisors will not have access to current records, therefore appointments should be scheduled before July 27 or after August 5.

International Students & Scholars

  • No I-20 or IAP-66 processing

Housing

The housing database, for the most part, will not be affected. Contact the Housing Assignment Office, (608) 262-2522, if you have questions regarding your contract status, room assignment, or quarterly bill.
