International Institute calls for proposals
The International Institute has announced plans to hold more events and discussions over the coming weeks that might help faculty, staff, students, and the public reflect on world affairs and regions, the institute’s associate director Catherine Meschievitz says.
Meschievitz says discussions could also help faculty, staff and students assess what events since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks may mean for international education broadly speaking, including development of new courses and interdisciplinary research work.
The institute seeks proposals for future forums, including topics and speakers. Meschievitz says the institute plans to support a range of activities, from public outreach events at locations in the city, to events in schools, to talks on campus.
