Hoofer sailing club kickoff July 26

Anyone can learn to sail by joining the Hoofer Sailing Club, and a kickoff for new members is scheduled Thursday, July 26, 8 p.m., Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St. (Check “Today in the Union” for location).

Benefits of club membership include unlimited instruction with more 30 experienced instructors; small, convenient daytime and evening lessons seven days a week; access to over 80 boats and sailboards; and social activities, moonlight sails and other special events.

Hoofers, one of 10 student-run committees comprising the Wisconsin Union Directorate, is the oldest and largest campus recreational programming organization in the nation.
