Funding of Campus Network To Be Discussed
With the cost of the campus network and Internet connection rising due to growing demand and transitions to new technologies, DoIT, the ITC Committee, its Rates and Dial Access Subcommittees and the administration have been working on a plan for funding the network.
Tad Pinkerton will talk about projected costs and usage estimates for the network and will describe the plans for funding them in 1997-8. He will seek the advice of students, faculty and staff to help DoIT and the committees flesh out next year’s plan and come up with new approaches for the years beyond.
The program will take place Monday, April 14, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in 109 Union South.
This program is open to the campus. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.
