Feminist Scholars Fellowship, 2011–12
The Center for Research on Gender and Women announces its 2011–12 competition for the Feminist Scholars Fellowship.
The fellowship is designed to provide UW–Madison faculty a full-time research appointment for one semester (fall 2011 or spring 2012). The center will finance a lecturer replacement if necessary in the scholar’s home department to cover the applicant’s teaching responsibilities.

Application deadline is Nov. 15. Awards will be announced Jan. 22.

Grant, scholarship deadlines for adult students approaching soon
Deadlines are approaching for grants and scholarships coordinated by the Adult and Student Services Center (ASSC) to support nontraditional students.
Applications for grants for the upcoming spring semester are due Nov. 1. Applicants are required to have had a significant break in their education and have plans to enroll in only one course. See more details and to apply.
On behalf of numerous donors, ASSC also offers scholarships to full- or part-time adults for the 2011–12 academic year, with several designated for single parent students. Applications are accepted Dec. 1 through March 1.
The online application will be posted on Dec. 1.

Nominations accepted for Academic Staff Excellence Awards
The UW–Madison Academic Staff Excellence Awards will honor nine extraordinary people for achievement in seven categories. In addition, UW-System will honor academic staff in four categories.
Nomination guidelines and cover pages for all awards. Nomination packets for all awards (including UW System and Regents awards) should be sent electronically to the Office of the Secretary of the Academic Staff.
The deadline for all nominations is Jan. 20. This deadline is firm. Follow the submission instructions for each separate award carefully. If you have questions regarding the awards, please contact Donna Silver, Office of the Secretary of the Academic Staff, at 263–2985.
