Educator to explore family-school relationships

MacArthur Prize winner and Harvard professor Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot will be the highlight of the School of Education‘s celebration of American Education Week, Nov. 16-22.

She will speak on “The Essential Conversation: What Parents and Teachers Can Learn from Each Other,” on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in 204 Educational Sciences.

Other events include Caldecott winner Eric Rohmann presenting “Pictures into Stories: How Ideas Become Books,” on Monday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. in L160 Elvehjem Museum of Art.
