Douglas named cardiology chief at hospital
Pamela S. Douglas has joined the UW Hospital and Clinics and the UW Medical School as the new chief of cardiology in the department of medicine.
Douglas comes to Madison from Boston, where she had been associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and a physician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Board-certified in internal medicine and in cardiovascular disease, she has particular interests in heart disease in women and in echocardiography.
Douglas has served as a race physician for the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon and the Boston Marathon. She is active in the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography.
