Committee seeks nominations for new human resources director
A faculty, staff and student committee searching for a new director of human resources is seeking applications and nominations for the position.
The new director will succeed retired Carla Raatz, who held the position since 1988. Steve Lund, director of the Academic Personnel Office, is serving as interim director.
Gary Sandefur, dean of the College of Letters & Science, is chair of the 17-member search-and-screen committee. Also serving on the committee are Damon Williams, vice provost for diversity and climate; Randy Brink, College of Letters and Science; Samaa Abdurraqib, a graduate student representing the Teaching Assistants Association; Jamie Bemis, an undergraduate student representing the Associated Students of Madison; Jim Gray, Office of Human Resources; Sandra Guthrie, General Library System; Jeanne Hendricks, College of Engineering; Craig Werner, College of Letters & Science; Caitilyn Allen, College of Agricultural and Life Sciences; Ben Rodriguez, College of Letters & Science; Deb Zurbuchen, School of Veterinary Medicine; Aaron Crandall, Research and Sponsored Programs; Catharine DeRubeis, Office of Human Resources; Julie Karpelenia, Graduate School; Nancy Graff Schultz, Athletics; and Sue Chamberlain, UW System.
The committee will recommend finalists for the position to Vice Chancellor for Administration Darrell Bazzell. Candidates should apply by Sunday, Feb. 28.
