Choral Union meeting and auditions planned

Since 1965 town and gown have converged in music, courtesy the UW–Madison Choral Union. Anyone is welcome to audition; this year, director Beverly Taylor will hold the tryouts for sopranos and tenors on Wednesday, Sept. 7, and for altos and bass on Thursday, Sept. 8.

Both sessions will start with an informational meeting at 6:30 p.m. in 2330 Mosse Humanities Building. Five-minute auditions will follow at 7:30 p.m. in Mills Concert Hall. The first rehearsal is at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 12. Performances this year will be Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11. There is a fee for music.
