Campus gets new vending machines
A new vending machine contract awarded by UW Purchasing to Wright Vending Co., should mean most machines will be replaced or updated by the beginning of fall semester.
“The vending selection will change very little,” says Tim Gloeckler, of the Wisconsin Union. “Wright will continue to offer both major brands of soda, so there is no need for concern in either the Diet Coke or the Mountain Dew camp.”
The new contract means that more machines will accept Wiscard debit cards.
The Division of Workforce Development Blind Enterprise Program provides vending service to several campus buildings that will not be included in the change. The division will allocate its limited resources where the need is greatest, Gloeckler says.
