Campus and Luther’s get the blues

January 30, 2001

Choose to get the blues on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Luther’s, 1401 University Ave. The club and the campus have paired up to provide an evening of big-city club energy and excitement in a non-alcohol environment for students aged 18 and up.

Dust off your dancing shoes to get down with Bumpus, Chicago’s premier young funk band. Bumpus often performs at Chicago’s House of Blues with a style that recalls James Brown and Sly and the Family Stone.

A $5 admission coupons worth $5, redeemable for nonalcoholic drinks and food that night,

The Luther’s Blues bus will make campus pick-ups so you can get to the club for free.

There will be drawings during the night for awesome prizes and goodies. And, there will be a special prize for the residence hall, fraternity or sorority with the most people there.
