CALS alumni golf tournament, football fire-up scheduled

Alumni of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will hold two scholarship fundraisers in connection with UW’s football game against Ball State University.

The Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association will host a golf tournament Friday, Sept. 10 at the Lake Windsor Country Club in Windsor. On Saturday, WALSAA will hold its annual Football Fire-Up from 8-10:45 a.m. at the UW–Madison Stock Pavilion. It precedes the 11:10 a.m. football game.

The tournament has room for 48 people, and costs $60 per golfer. It includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, dinner and some great prizes. Those interested must register by Aug. 25.

The Football Fire-Up features lots of food, live band music and an auction of donated items and services. The event costs $12 per person for WALSAA members and $14 for non-members who register by Sept. 1; the charge at the door will be $20 for those who don’t register. Parking is available at several university lots for $7 on a first-come, first-served basis on game day.
