Buss elected to lead national veterinary medicine society
Daryl Buss, dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine, is the new president-elect of the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC).
Buss was elected at the association’s July meeting, held in conjunction with the American Veterinary Medical Association convention in New Orleans. The AAVMC coordinates the affairs of 27 U.S. veterinary medical colleges, Canadian colleges of veterinary medicine, departments of veterinary science and comparative medicine, and animal medical centers.
Buss, who has been dean since 1994, will begin the presidency of AAVMC in July, 2000. He served as the organization’s secretary in 1998-1999.
