ASM Green Fund applications available to students
University of Wisconsin–Madison student organizations may now apply to receive funding for sustainability-related projects on campus from the newly created Associated Students of Madison Sustainability Committee Green Fund for fall 2014.
The Green Fund, approved in late 2013, will provide $80,000 in student segregated fees to support registered student organizations to develop and implement projects to improve campus environmental sustainability. These funds will be used for projects that significantly improve campus sustainability in one of six areas: energy efficiency, water efficiency, food systems, transportation, ecological restoration, and waste reduction.
Grants will vary in size based on project proposals with a $20,000 maximum for each.
Proposals should include background, process, goals, budget and one letter of recommendation from either a UW–Madison faculty member or administrative staff member.
Green Fund applications are due by March 30. For more information, contact Will Mulhern or view the ASM Green Fund bylaws.
