Artists seek ‘Truth, Compassion, Tolerance’

September 6, 2005

A contingent of artists from around the world, working in media ranging from oil painting, color pencil and sculpture to traditional Chinese painting, will exhibit their work at a special exhibition in the State Capitol Rotunda.

Presented by the UW–Madison Falun Gong group, which meets at the Memorial Union on Sunday afternoons, “Truth, Compassion, Tolerance: The Art of a Higher Good” explores human atrocity, particularly as visited by the Chinese government on members of this mindfulness movement.

Free and open to the public, the exhibition will open on Saturday, Sept. 10 and remain on view until Saturday, Sept. 17.
