September 6, 2005

The tricks and techniques that painters use to depict “Weather in Art” will be under discussion on Tuesday, Sept. 13. Steve Ackerman, UW–Madison professor of atmospheric and oceanic sciences, will consider how landscape artists use paint to create the illusion of atmospheric and weather conditions. Part of the Chazen Museum’s “In My View” lecture series, the talk will begin at 12:15 p.m. in Gallery V and is free and open to the public.
