I am a student at UW–Madison and would like to take beginning guitar lessons. Any suggestions?
One option is to take lessons through the School of Music Teaching Division. Students enrolled in the School of Music teach private music lessons in many areas including acoustic, electric and bass guitar. You can find more information on fees, schedules and availability at http://www.music.wisc.edu/html/studentteaching.html or by calling 263-1923.
Another option is to enroll in a Wisconsin Union Mini-course. Wisconsin Union Mini-Courses, open to UW–Madison faculty, staff, students and Union members, are offered in almost any area imaginable, including guitar. Visit the mini-course Web site at http://www.union.wisc.edu/minicourses/ or call 262-3156 for more information. Good luck!
